What is the free orientation?2026-02-12T12:14:27-06:00

We offer free, no commitment orientations for all customers. For Orientation Information please download our Orientation PDF.

An orientation is what we require before a dog can stay for boarding or daycare. We do them by appointment only but don’t worry, we offer them seven days a week all throughout the day. We just want to make sure we have everything ready for you when you arrive. The process usually takes around 30 minutes (can vary depending on your dog’s comfort level with other dogs). Your pet will get a chance to socialize with other dogs while you meet with a manager so we can get some details about you and your dog. We want to make sure we know all we can to make your dog’s stay with us as happy as possible.

Can I tour the facility before boarding my pet?2026-01-23T15:54:37-06:00

Yes! While we can’t take visitors into the actual pet care areas, you can stop by anytime during our business hours to chat with staff members and take a look around. We’re open 24/7, so you’re welcome to visit whenever it’s convenient for you.

What if my dog has special dietary needs or allergies?2026-01-19T14:18:15-06:00

We’re happy to accommodate special diets, food allergies, and specific feeding schedules. Simply bring your dog’s regular food and provide detailed feeding instructions. There’s no additional charge for special feeding requirements.

Can you give my dog medication?2026-01-23T15:55:43-06:00

Absolutely. Our staff is trained to administer medications with the exception of injections; just provide clear instructions and the medication in its original container. There is no additional fee for basic medication administration.

Can I check on my dog during their boarding stay?2026-01-19T14:18:59-06:00

While we don’t offer live webcams, you’re welcome to call us anytime to check on your dog. Our staff can provide updates on how your dog is eating, playing, and adjusting to their stay. We’ve found that most dogs settle in beautifully within the first day and have a wonderful time playing with their new friends.

When are check-in and check-out times?2026-02-20T09:20:59-06:00

We are open 24/7, so you can drop your dog off or pick them up entirely at your convenience. However, we do charge a $32.50 fee for check-outs after 1pm.

What is the difference between dog boarding packages?2026-02-20T09:14:45-06:00

Will my dog be housed with other dogs?2026-02-20T09:06:44-06:00

No, we do not put dogs in the same kennels. Dogs at Happy Tails get plenty of interaction with other dogs during their stay, so they will get time to wind down in their own space when needed.

Please bring any medications with clear instructions, and a familiar item from home like a blanket or toy to help them feel comfortable. You may also want to bring your dog’s regular food if they have specific dietary needs or allergies.

What if my dog doesn’t do well in group settings?2026-02-20T09:00:09-06:00

We group all of our dogs by size and work to ensure safe and comfortable interactions during playtime. If your dog is anxious or reactive, please talk with us during your free orientation so we can discuss the best plan of action for your pup.
