Want to tell someone about Happy Tails but can’t quite think of the words to describe it? Of course you can always refer them to our website, our Facebook page, our Twitter account, or even bring them in for a personal tour. But now we have a new way, we’ve developed a brochure that we’re pretty proud of (and we think you’ll be just as excited about) that tells all about HTI. Feel free to stop by and grab one or simply print one from here. HTI Brochure

Buddy, a lab mix, was in the Bolivar city pound with not much hope. This week, some volunteers from all around the country including some from your very own Happy Tails, came together to help transport Buddy from Bolivar to his new foster home in Virginia. It was over two full days of traveling for Buddy but so worth it! It was our pleasure to get to know Buddy – he’s such a sweet, gentle boy and made everyone smile that he met. We know it won’t be long before he finds a home of his own. Happy Tails sweet Buddy! If you’d like more information on helping to transport rescue dogs, please email Katie at firstname.lastname@example.org.

One our employees recently had the opportunity to assist with transporting three Saint Bernard puppies from a high kill shelter in Alabama to a rescue group willing to accept them in Minnesota. With such a rough start to life, this is such a great Feel Good Friday story that you’ll want to read it over and over again. The three puppies were dumped on a major road in Alabama where they were picked up and taken to a high kill animal shelter. From there, they were fortunate enough to meet up with someone who noticed the spark in their eyes! She coordinated with Pilots N Paws for them to be transported to Minnesota. Their first leg took them from southern Alabama to Memphis. A retired airline pilot then continued with another leg to Saint Louis. This is where our employee, Katie, and her two children picked up the dogs. They then drove the dogs to meet a gracious couple in Cedar Rapids who agreed to foster the dogs for a few days to allow the weather to be more agreeable for travel. The last leg took them to Corner of Kindness Rescue where all three dogs were placed into loving foster homes. We’re so happy to also report that all three, in less than a weeks time, have potential adoptive families lined up for them!

Casey is a 9 month old fully vaccinated Shih Tzu and is looking for her forever home! Casey was given up by her previous owners because they did not have the time for her. Casey is a very loving puppy who has lots of energy and would do best in an active home. Casey would love to have another active playmate to keep her entertained but it is not mandatory. Casey has a very sweet and fun loving personality and is great with kids. She has started the Training Tails program here at Happy Tails to help with some of her general leash manners. If you or someone you know are interested in adopting Casey fill out the application below and send it to email@example.com. There will be an adoption fee to help cover vet costs.
